At its regular meeting the Warrick County School Corp. board approved several consent and routine items including appointments, curriculum additions, an affiliation agreement, a donation and multiple personnel actions.
Dr. Abby Redmond recommended reappointing Jordan Eigner to a two‑year advisory term on the Town of Newburgh Redevelopment Commission beginning Jan. 1, 2026; the motion passed with one abstention recorded. The board also recommended Susan Melfi as the district's representative to the Newburgh Parks and Recreation Board and approved that recommendation by voice vote.
The board approved two new high school course offerings for the 2026–27 school year — AP Computer Science A and Technical Math — on the recommendation of Jason Fisher, director of learning.
Dr. Doug Gresham brought forward an affiliation agreement with Ball State University to allow Ball State students to use district facilities and obtain practicum and student‑teaching experience; the agreement was approved as presented.
The board accepted a $1,750 donation from Professional Firefighters Local 4850 to upgrade the Booneville High School baseball dugout (pressure washing, painting, bulletin boards); the board discussed whether the work would be contracted or done by volunteers and approved the donation.
Human Resources presented multiple hires, transfers and resignations (items listed in the personnel report) which the board approved by voice vote.
