Warrick County board ratifies teacher agreement, approves supplemental pay and 3.01% raises

The Warrick County School Corp. board voted to ratify the 2025–26 tentative agreement with the Warrick County Teachers Association and approved several compensation and personnel actions.
Superintendent Dr. Abby Redmond recommended ratification of the tentative agreement between the district and the teachers association as discussed publicly on Oct. 20, 2025; the board moved and approved the ratification by voice vote.
Under Indiana Code 20-28-9-1.5, Dr. Redmond recommended supplemental payments of $1,000 added to the annual salary for 13 teachers who earned master's degrees this past year; the board approved that action by voice vote.
The board also approved a 3.01% pay increase for calendar‑year and school‑year noncertified employees (effective Oct. 25, 2025, for calendar‑year staff and July 21, 2025, for school‑year staff) and the same 3.01% increase applied to building certified administrators and managers (effective July 1, 2025). Both measures passed by voice vote.
Dr. Doug Gresham presented a slate of personnel items — new hires, transfers and resignations — which the board approved. Items included noncertified hires (Amy McIntosh; Brad Alstalk; Jared Biesing; Jennifer Beaman; Rachel Lamont; Manabu Tajiri; Alicia Zoss; Marley Smith; Miranda Orange) and multiple transfers and resignations with effective dates noted in the personnel report.
