The House Health Committee on the morning call moved to rerefer House Bill 305, a measure sponsored in the House by Rep. McNeil that would set cost-sharing limits on insulin, to the Insurance Committee. The motion was made by the chair and carried without objection.
Committee members did not debate the measure on the floor. The chair said similar language has been routed previously to the Insurance Committee because the bill "deals with commercial insurance coverage, which is properly the jurisdiction of the Insurance Committee." The chair asked for a yes vote; no negatives were recorded and the bill was rereferred to Insurance.
No formal amendment, fiscal figure, or timetable for committee consideration was provided during the discussion. The committee adjourned later in the morning after completing this and subsequent business.
