District to give makeup time after Amazon Web Services outage disrupted student platforms

The district’s cyber coordinator will provide an extra day for makeup work, and classroom teachers will provide additional resources for students who missed work because of the outage.
Board members noted that other institutions were similarly affected and thanked technology staff for the planned accommodations. The board received the update as an informational item.
