Hoffman Estates trustees approved the release of a Class A liquor license to 2 M Venture LLC, which will operate as Hoco the Indian Kitchen at 2569 West Gulf Road in the Mariano's Plaza.
Applicant Sashin Vias, identifying himself as one of the owners, told the board the space shares a wall with an Anytime Fitness and was previously an empty retail unit. "We're gonna be operating in Hoffman Estates, the 2569 West Gulf Road...with Mariano's Plaza," Vias said, adding construction is underway and he expects to finish in November and open before Thanksgiving.
Trustees asked about the exact location and prior tenants; Vias said the space had been vacant and had most recently housed a vape shop. He also noted existing restaurant experience, citing ownership of Global Brew Tap House in Schaumburg.
A trustee complimented the menu and wished the applicant luck; no members of the public raised objections. The chair called for a motion to release the Class A license, which was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The chair declared "Motion carried."
