Hoco Indian Kitchen granted Class A liquor license for Hoffman Estates location

The Village panel approved a Class A liquor license on Oct. 20 for a new Indian restaurant at 2569 West Gulf Road in Hoffman Estates.
Sashin Vias, who identified himself as “one of the owners” of the restaurant, said the business will operate in Mariano’s Plaza and that construction is under way with an expected opening before Thanksgiving. “We’re gonna be operating in Hoffman Estates, the 2569 West Gulf Road…with Mariano’s Plaza,” Vias said during the petition hearing.
Board members asked about the prior tenant and the restaurant’s location relative to neighboring businesses. Vias said the space had been empty and previously housed a vape shop and later a dog grooming business; he also noted experience running a bar-restaurant in Schaumburg (Global Brew Tap House). No members of the public objected.
A trustee moved to grant the license and the motion was seconded; the panel voted by voice and the chair said the motion carried. The petitioner thanked the board and said he hoped to welcome patrons soon.
