Cunningham said the PST’s role is to get "everything out on the table and hopefully have a lot of the language pieces and everything taken care of" so only fund availability would be left to resolve.
Board members clarified PST membership and process: the team should have an even split of representatives (four from the board/district side and four from the LEA) and would meet monthly during the school year. Trustees emphasized that any formal changes to the negotiated agreement would still proceed through the IBB/IDB process and that the board retains ratification authority. Trustees also asked that PST meetings not be scheduled during school hours so staff and working members can participate.
The PST will provide periodic updates to the board, and materials that would result in formal agreement changes will be routed to the IBB process for negotiation and ratification. Trustees volunteered board members to participate in the PST and said they will add a standing discussion item to each board meeting to keep the broader board informed of PST work.
