At a public hearing Nov. 5 the Metropolitan Development Commission approved termination of a real-and-personal-property tax abatement associated with prior economic revitalization area resolutions after staff reported a location had moved out of Marion County.
Leticia Ramsey, compliance manager for the economic incentives team, said the termination concerns parcels including addresses on Hillside Court and East 30th Street in Council District 9. Under the terms of the original agreement the city is entitled to repayment of tax savings in the amount of $142,514.78; staff and the Department of Metropolitan Development agreed to that amount and recommended termination.
Following no public comment, a motion to approve was moved and seconded and the roll call recorded the resolution as passing 9-0.
The vote authorizes staff to collect the stated repayment amount and finalize the termination of the ERA benefits for the identified properties.
