The Green River City Council voted to approve a lease for Horse Corral 121 with Rick Owens after untable and amendment motions. Councilman Kopeck moved to untable the item that had been tabled previously; the council then considered a proposed amendment to the original motion.
"I move to amend the motion to approve the Horse Corral lease agreement with Rick Owens for Horse Corral 121 and to authorize the city treasurer to waive $86 of the first rental payment due at the commencement of the lease," Councilman Kopeck said as he offered the amendment. The amendment was seconded and the council voted in favor.
After the amendment passed, the council voted to approve the lease as amended. The mayor announced the motion carried.
The action re-opened a prior item the council had tabled, added the $86 waiver to the lease terms and resulted in formal approval of the lease during this meeting. Council did not record an individual roll-call vote in the transcript; the meeting record states the motion "carries."
