Lincoln — The Lincoln City Council on Nov. 3 approved a five-item consent agenda, a resolution amending an easement, and a six-month renewal of a certificate of deposit in the sewer O&M fund.
The consent agenda included payment of bills; approval of minutes from the Oct. 14, 2025 committee-of-the-whole meeting; a request from Lincoln Christian Church to close McLean Street between Pekin and Delavan streets for the Hometown Christmas event on Dec. 5, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and a bridal-event request from Copper and Oak to close Delavan Street from Kickapoo Street west to the alley on Nov. 1, 2025, from noon to 10 p.m. Alderman Downs moved to approve the consent agenda; Alderman Clemens seconded. A roll-call vote recorded yes votes from Aldermen Clemens, Anderson, Bateman, Sanders, McClellan, Parrott and Downs; the motion passed.
On item 6, the council considered a resolution approving a previously entered easement and approving entry of an amendment to that easement and an abrogation of another easement. Alderman Bateman moved to approve; Alderman Sanders seconded. The roll call was unanimous in favor and the resolution passed.
Item 8 authorized renewal of a certificate of deposit in the sewer O&M fund for $663,687.40 for a six-month term. Alderman McClellan moved to approve and Alderman Anderson seconded. All present councilmembers voted yes and the renewal was approved.
