Verona council approves bills, fee updates and EMS budget items

The council also considered two EMS items. Resolution 25‑029 approves the 2026 Fitchrona EMS operating and capital budgets after the EMS district review; staff noted a new funding formula that reduced Verona’s share. Resolution 25‑030 authorizes exceeding the municipal levy limit for joint EMS district charges consistent with Wisconsin Stat. 66.0602 (CPI+2% criteria). Staff explained the CPI calculation and the adjustment mechanics; both EMS resolutions passed by voice vote.
