"I was in communication with the auditor last week and submitted several things to her. And she finally said, yes, that is correct with the amendment that we made," the representative said.
Commissioner Snudds moved to approve the amended forfeiture budget; Commissioner Hollowell seconded the motion and the court approved it 5-0. The court then considered a separate request to allow the DA's office to spend $4,800 from those forfeiture funds to continue a Box contract for online file storage and to authorize the county judge to sign the agreement. The motion to approve the expenditure passed 5-0.
The court discussed the sequence of approvals, clarifying that the budget amendment needed to be accepted before the specific expenditure was authorized. The judge confirmed both the amendment and the expenditure were approved during the session.
