HR staff reported hiring over the summer: 23 certificated hires, 25 classified hires and seven resident teachers — figures the district presented as a total of 55 new positions. Facilities staff described completed work at Gardner/Bullis (a rebuilt parking lot and new crosswalk), portable moves at Owen to create a sixth‑grade area, and a district tree‑risk assessment that led to selective removals and other maintenance. Contractors completed striping and irrigation connections; final inspections and sign‑offs (DSA/TSI) were noted as pending for some elements.
Board members thanked custodial, grounds and operations teams for summer work.
