The Fauquier County Board of Supervisors authorized two commercial leases at the Warrenton–Fauquier Airport during its Oct. 19 meeting.
Staff presented a renewal for Aviation Adventures LLC (current lease expired Aug. 31, 2025). The new lease includes an automatic annual renewal, a 3% rent increase at each renewal term and a provision that real estate taxes will be assessed by the Fauquier County Commissioner of the Revenue on the leased premises. There were no public speakers on the item; the board voted to authorize the county administrator to execute the lease by voice vote.
A second lease for Red Cardinal Aviation LLC was presented to expand office space by 118 square feet; similar automatic renewal and 3% annual rent increase provisions were included, along with tax assessment language. No members of the public spoke on that item and the board approved the lease by voice vote.
Staff said both leases meet airport requirements and are intended to keep tenant operations stable while allowing modest rent escalations tied to renewal terms.
