CARSON CITY — The CAMPO board unanimously approved an administrative amendment to its 2025–2028 Transportation Improvement Program on a motion from a board member and a second from the chair.
Jared Craig, CAMPO transportation planner, told the board the amendment (25‑05) updates funding amounts, project descriptions and schedules across multiple projects listed in appendix 3, including NDOT‑requested revisions to the US‑50 Carson City project (Frontage Road CC‑11 to East Deer Run Road) and funding-category changes for East Dayton Bridal and Carson Valley Phase 1 projects. "The public comment period was open on 09/11/2025 and ended on 10/01/2025. No public comments were received," Craig said.
The amendment also moves preliminary engineering for the Carson City Jump Around Carson transit center to fiscal year 2026, updates FTA 5339 bus facility grant awards and removes Highway Safety Improvement Program funding from the Curry Street Complete Streets project, according to the exhibit attached to the board packet.
Board members thanked staff and NDOT for coordination on larger corridor projects, noting the region’s ongoing project sequencing on US‑50 and US‑395 corridors. With no public comments, a board member moved to approve the amendment and the board voted "aye"; the motion passed unanimously.
Next steps: Board materials indicate the revised TIP tables and appendices will be incorporated into the published exhibit and posted with CAMPO records.
