Spencer Park closure: A city staff member announced removal of a large tree at Spencer Park on Monday, Oct. 13, and warned the park would be closed to pedestrians and vehicles for the day. Mayor Martin repeated the Oct. 13 closure date.
Street operations and permits: Chad of the Logansport Street Department presented the September report: 179 loads to the compost site (18 by contractors), 69 yard‑waste bag pickups, 12 tons of sweepings taken to the landfill, 94 hours pulling potholes, 36 hours on alleys and other routine activity. The board approved the monthly report. The board also approved a curb/street cut application for 1210 Spear Street (sewer line repair) and grouped approvals for Frontier project number 2510626 covering right‑of‑way work across multiple Bucktown‑area streets.
Code enforcement: Randy presented the weekly code enforcement report, including 42 notices sent, 52 properties cleared from the list and 58 still pending; the board approved the report.
Licenses: The board approved an electrical license for Brian Mears doing business as Peterman Brothers after staff confirmed the application had been reviewed.
Board comments and adjournment: Members briefly discussed the rollout of the GFL program, noting initial hiccups but that it is improving. Mayor Martin moved to adjourn and the meeting ended following a roll call vote.
