At the end of the Oct. 8 meeting, planning staff reported results from the Midvale City Council: of four commission‑recommended items, three were approved and one was tabled on a technicality and is expected on the consent agenda next week. Approved items cited by staff included changes to vehicle‑related uses, amendments to master plan development regulations and a water use and preservation plan; the form‑based code discussion prompted a council clarification to sync outdoor music and dining hours with the city noise ordinance.
Staff said the parks plan will likely come to the planning commission at a future meeting. The planner also announced Midvale Trick or Treat will be held downtown on Main Street on Oct. 25 beginning at noon in a two‑hour window and noted volunteer opportunities.
The meeting adjourned at 6:29 p.m.
