Euclid Board opens four bids for 2025 Citywide Street Tree Removal Program

The Euclid Board of Control opened and accepted for review four bids on Monday for the 2025 Citywide Street Tree Removal Program.
Director Cooney presented the submissions, saying, “We have 4 bids for this project,” and reviewed each packet and accompanying bid bonds where provided. Hillshire Clark Electric Company bid $406,280 for the tree removal portion and $119,788.02 for stump grinding and restoration. Van Curen Services, Inc. bid $161,655 for tree removal and $198,891 for stump grinding and restoration. JK Tree Service LLC submitted a handwritten bid that Director Cooney reported as approximately $476,000 for tree removal and $89,200 for stump grinding and restoration. Premier Tree Specialists bid $198,698.27 for tree removal and $90,052.80 for stump grinding and restoration.
After the presentations, Director Grogan Myers moved to accept the bids for review; Director Cooney seconded the motion and the board approved it by voice vote. The bid packets were made available for inspection after the meeting.
The board did not award the contract at the meeting; staff will complete the formal review and return to the board with a recommendation at a later date.
