The council approved several personnel actions at the Aug. 11 meeting.
The director of public safety recommended appointments for Special Law Enforcement Officers (SLEO) — including Andrew Eckhart (SLEO 1 effective Aug. 31), Justin Bosch (SLEO 2 effective Aug. 31), and Vincent Montalbano III (SLEO 3 effective Aug. 31) — and council discussed classifications and levels. The administrator and council clarified which appointees were numbered as SLEO 2s or 3s in the roster.
Council also approved the roster of school crossing guards for the 2025-26 school year, listing names including Angela Boccia, Joseph Boccia, James Mahalish, John Walsh, Anoush Yanokian, Scott Zwayne, Danielle Fisher and substitutes Ron Kemperau and Jennifer Hess.
On a separate motion, the council approved new volunteer fire department membership applications and a swearing-in was offered during the meeting. A motion to approve the fire-department membership was moved and seconded and the mayor administered or offered to administer the oath.
No contested votes or tallies were recorded in the public transcript for these routine personnel approvals; the administrator said he would follow up on any classification questions.
