Board approves county attorney serving as legal counsel to FACVB during transition

County Manager Grier and County Attorney Rick Moorefield explained that FACVB is transitioning responsibilities to the Tourism Development Authority (TDA) and that Moorefield’s office had been asked to represent the nonprofit corporation. Moorefield said the county attorney’s office was "certainly willing to do so" if the board approved.
Commissioner Patel moved to approve consideration of the request and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. The board did not elaborate further on fee arrangements or a written engagement on the public record.
