Under other business, county staff updated the committee on several facility projects that will affect day-to-day operations.
Vector Control will receive an office remodel including new carpet, paint and bathroom updates; staff said much of the work could be done in-house to reduce cost. Parts for a south elevator refurbishment are now in-house and the county will move ahead with the refurbishment; the elevator nearest the VSO office, attorney offices and cafeteria will be out of service during that work. Staff also said Agassiz Valley vacated a basement office across the cafeteria and has found alternate office space in Fargo; the vacated space may be used during future phases of the space-needs plan.
No formal votes were recorded on these smaller projects in the transcript excerpt; staff said they would proceed with scheduling and contractor coordination.
