West Melbourne proclaims November 2025 Native American Heritage Month; Native Rhythms Festival announced

The West Melbourne mayor and city council proclaimed November 2025 as Native American Heritage Month and highlighted the upcoming Native Rhythms Festival, hosted by Native American Heritage Gathering, Inc., at Wickham Park from Nov. 14–16, 2025.
During the presentation the mayor read the proclamation recognizing contributions of Native and Indigenous peoples and noting the festival will mark its seventeenth year with music, dance, crafts, cultural displays and free workshops. A representative from the festival thanked the council, noted the event is family friendly and alcohol-free, and played a flute selection for the council.
The presenter encouraged residents to visit nativerhythmsfestival.com for event information and to sign up for workshops. The council posed for a photo with the proclamation and thanked the organizers.
