Keene Road retail revision would remove sidewalk; applicant to record easement as condition

An applicant seeking a resubmittal for a Keene Road retail construction-site plan asked the DRC on Oct. 29 to eliminate the sidewalk along Keene Road and proposed to provide an easement in lieu of the sidewalk, contingent on the city accepting recording the easement as a condition of final approval.
"We could provide the easement, but I'd request that it doesn't hold up this revision approval and make it a condition of, c o COC," the applicant said. Public-works staff agreed that the easement could be accepted as a condition and recommended moving forward with the revision approval while the applicant records the easement.
Community development and fire had no additional comments on the revision. The DRC indicated staff will include the easement requirement as a condition on the approval; no formal vote was recorded during the meeting.
