Together the grants total more than $2 million, staff said.
The board approved the recommended vendors during the meeting: On Your Mark for early‑grade reading supports and Imagine Learning for the middle‑school math program. Trustees voted by voice to accept the grants and vendor selections, noting these are state funds and carry no negative direct fiscal impact on district operating budgets.
District staff said teams worked quickly to prepare rosters and schedules to start tutoring at the earliest feasible time this school year and that grant administrators and school teams expect rapid implementation. Board members asked for clarifications that the awards were grants (not district costs) and for ongoing updates on student rosters and program start dates.
