During the information-items portion of the meeting, the superintendent reported several gifts accepted under board policy thresholds and listed dates and donors: Coleridge Elementary received $2,600 from Piney Ridge United Methodist Church for student needs; Liberty Elementary received $250 from Liberty's Eye and Olive and $200 from Kenneth's Welding Service; Liberty Oil Company donated $500 to Liberty Elementary; High School FFA chapter received $100 from Keith Quality and $100 from Triangle Fitness.
Marty Trotter also presented three contracts that exceed $50,000 this month: Sunwag Solutions LLC for GPS services for the bus fleet ($85,332.50); Gregory Poole Equipment Company blanket purchase order for repair parts ($75,000); and Mastery Prep LLC (ACT boot camp) for $53,004.89. These contracts were presented under board policy for reporting.
The board then moved, seconded and approved the consent agenda and the listed items by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will finalize contract files and ensure gift acceptance documentation is retained as required by board policy.
