Warden reported the project budget at 71.85% expended; change orders and furnishings have created a current shortfall of about $27,800. Commissioners asked whether the gap fits within the bond fund; staff confirmed most of the overrun is expected to be covered by available bond proceeds. The board discussed a prior bond issuance, arbitrage exposure (interest earned vs. bond rate), and commitments to close out the bond fund.
No new appropriation was approved at the meeting, but staff said they will monitor final invoices and bring any required budget adjustments back to the board.
