Oregon City Commission approves vacation of 142 sq ft at Bluff Promenade Park

The Oregon City City Commission voted Nov. 5 to adopt Resolution No. 25-33 initiating a vacation of 142 square feet from Bluff Promenade Park.
Mayor Denise McGriff called the roll as the commission moved to approve the consent agenda with item c held for clarification. After a brief discussion and a separate motion, the commission voted to approve Resolution 25-33; the roll call recorded Commissioners Scott Wilson, Mike Mitchell, Rocky Smith, Adam Morrow and Mayor Denise McGriff voting in favor.
Council staff explained the request was limited to the foundation area on the Promenade property and that a small additional width was included to account for the eaves of a house that overhangs city property. Commissioners asked for and received confirmation the vacation would not affect areas beyond the foundation and the minor eaves encroachment.
The resolution initiates the formal vacation process; staff will complete the statutory steps for property vacations and provide required notices and documentation to the commission and affected parties.
The commission proceeded with other agenda items after the vote.
