The Grantsville Planning Commission voted Oct. 4 to recommend approval of a request to extend the phase‑2 plat approval for the Matthews Meadows subdivision. Staff reported they had been working with the applicant (Sean) on reconfiguring a detention basin to accommodate a park and altering road alignments; the applicant filed the extension request while those design decisions were resolved.
Commissioners asked about the application’s timing (it had technically expired on Oct. 4 but staff said they were engaged with the applicant prior to expiration) and confirmed that building permits would not be issued until required infrastructure is in place. The commission approved the extension by voice vote and directed staff to continue processing the final plat consistent with the subdivision code and the recorded agreement.
