The Bradford County Board of County Commissioners on Nov. 4 approved a series of comprehensive-plan amendments and rezonings after planning staff read multiple ordinances during a consolidated public hearing.
Items approved included the comprehensive-plan land-use amendment S250826a (agricultural to industrial for parcel 05178-0-00202) and companion rezoning Z25-04 (to Industrial Light & Warehousing). Commissioners also approved S250908a and Z25-07 to convert 02056-0-00101 from agricultural to commercial/commercial-intensive use, and additional ordinances (S25-09098, C25-08, X2509168 and C25-09) affecting parcels 01968-0-00100 and parcel folios 04452/04453 to allow commercial uses.
Planning staff read each ordinance and asked for public comment; no members of the public spoke on any of these items. In each case a commissioner moved approval, a motion was seconded, and the board adopted the ordinance by voice vote.
The ordinances amend the Bradford County Comprehensive Plan and the Bradford County Land Development Regulations, providing severability clauses and effective dates. The readings cited the statutory amendment procedures established in Florida Statutes (sections 163.3161–163.3248 as referenced in the readings).
The board’s approval will permit property owners to pursue development consistent with the new future land-use and zoning designations, subject to applicable county permitting and development-review processes. No recorded roll-call vote listing individual votes by name appears in the meeting transcript for these items; the board’s approvals were made by voice vote on the record.
