On Oct. 23 the City Council voted unanimously, 9–0, to convene an executive session to receive legal advice about metropolitan districts under Colorado law (CRS §24‑6‑402(4)(b)). The city attorney requested the session to address specific legal questions; council recessed and met virtually in an attorney‑client executive session.
The clerk recorded the participants who attended the session and asked whether any participant believed the executive session had included matters outside the stated purpose; no objections were raised on the public record when council reconvened. The council returned to the open meeting and adjourned the special meeting later that night.
