On Aug. 4, 2025, Council member Becky Seperley introduced Bill 8062 to amend the municipal code to update and consolidate the city’s list of legal holidays, define the benefit for law-enforcement officers required to work unscheduled shifts on a legal holiday, codify Juneteenth as a city legal holiday, and make technical corrections throughout the code.
