Resolution 25-072 authorized a greens mower for Cato Park Golf Course from Baker Vehicle Systems for $36,428. Resolution 25-073 authorized two zero-turn mowers from Power Zone for $25,998. Resolution 25-075 authorized purchase of a Case 580 backhoe with accessories from State Equipment Inc. for $137,496.84. Resolution 25-076 authorized a contract with Electronic Specialty Company for installation and training of new audio-visual and videoconferencing equipment for City Hall and the council chambers in the approximate amount of $264,049.89.
Separately, the council adopted Resolution 25-074, an amendment to the FY25–26 coal severance budget that reduced the beginning balance by $13,389 and adjusted the revenue estimate by the same amount. That item was taken by roll-call vote; the clerk recorded a majority of "Yes" votes and the resolution was declared adopted.
Council member Burton, representing the finance committee, said most of these purchases were included in the city’s FY2026 budget as regular replacements and noted the AV vendor’s bid was roughly $100,000 less than competitors. Many of the procurement resolutions were adopted by voice vote; the AV package was noted to include wireless microphones, voting capabilities and AI features in the new system.
