Commissioners approve consent agenda, rescind bridge easement and sign law-enforcement agreement

The Okanogan County Board of Commissioners moved through several routine but consequential actions during the Sept. 10 meeting.

Consent agenda and rescind easement: Commissioners approved the consent agenda and voted to rescind the Aug. 25 Aquatic Lands Easement for the Tox Foster Bridge with the Washington Department of Natural Resources so staff can return a slightly revised agreement for re-approval. The board’s motion to rescind was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.

Law-enforcement agreement and building permit: The board approved the 2026 law-enforcement agreement between Okanogan County and the City of Okanogan and authorized the chair to sign a city building-department permit application for the Okanogan County Public Health/Public Works remodel. Both items were approved by voice vote.

Vouchers and EMS invoices: Commissioners temporarily adjourned and convened as several EMS district boards to approve vouchers and contracts: an Arrow Methow Rescue Service voucher for $169,389.74 (September), the Oroville September AMS contract for $18,875, and the Temasket September AMS contract for $16,200. After completing EMS business, the board reconvened as the county and approved general vouchers dated 09/10/2025 as presented.

Executive sessions: The board also approved motions to enter executive sessions to discuss public-employee performance, potential land purchase, and agency legal matters; invited staff and counsel were noted in the meeting minutes. The sessions were motioned, seconded and entered by unanimous voice votes.
