Staff brought forward contract 2025CO112, a $198,814 agreement with Walter P. Moore & Associates for preliminary roadway plans and public engagement. Mender said the preliminary work will inform future construction cost estimates and the public engagement process.
Because stormwater improvements are related to the roadway design, staff presented a separate professional services contract (2025CO113) for storm drainage design. Mender explained the county is keeping the contracts separate to simplify permitting and maintain clarity with the federal grant. Commissioners voted 3-0 to approve both contracts.
