Cass County approves aluminum box culvert bids for Fergus and Cleveland roads

County staff told commissioners the preferred bidder could deliver in three to six weeks versus 12–14 weeks for the alternative, and noted earlier availability would allow crews to begin work sooner. The motion to accept the recommended bid passed unanimously, 3-0.
For Cleveland Road, staff recommended Polyfab because its turnaround time was shorter and the price difference was not material to the county’s schedule. Commissioners approved that bid, also on a 3-0 vote.
Both items were presented during the commission’s routine infrastructure consent business. No members of the public spoke on the culvert items during the meeting. The commission did not identify additional funding sources or schedule start dates during the discussion; staff indicated readiness to proceed once materials arrive.
