HGMA’s total listed roads produced a combined figure of about $598,363.26; Brown County’s flex-fund total was listed at $376,850.26 with a separate allocation (CPP-style funds) of $185,229.32. After tallying the figures, a magistrate moved to advance Brown County as the parent low bidder; the motion was seconded and approved on roll call.
Court members emphasized that accepting a low bidder at today’s meeting does not guarantee immediate paving work: officials said final selections and project starts depend on future funding availability and scheduling. "No matter what we do today, that does not mean these roads are getting done," a county official cautioned during the discussion.
Staff will verify bid components and return with final recommendations and timelines as funding and program rules are clarified.
