The Linn County Commission approved several fiscal and administrative items during its Nov. 3 meeting. The commission appointed Debbie Snyder to hold a county credit card with a $5,000 limit for the Register of Deeds office; the motion carried by voice vote.
On elections, commissioners discussed and then adopted Resolution No. 2025‑26 establishing compensation for election workers. The resolution, as reviewed in the meeting, sets compensation as follows: a flat $195 for election-day clerks who attend training and work a full 12-hour election day; judges $220 for training plus a full election day; supervising judges $240 for training plus a full election day; assembled board members $10 per hour unless already county employees (in which case they are paid through their regular payroll); training sessions flat $20; and standby workers who completed mandatory training receive a $30 standby fee if not used. Commissioner 1 moved to adopt Resolution 2025‑26 (Linn County, Kansas); Commissioner 2 seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.
The commission also scheduled the canvass for Nov. 10 following the meeting, with a standard recess to the clerk’s office for canvassing.
