Commission approves two probationary firefighter hires; AMR reports accreditation and October call volume

Randy Haidt, Golden County Rural Fire Department and Emergency Management representative, asked the commission’s permission to hire two probationary firefighters. "I'd like permission to hire Maxwell McCain to station 960... that'll be 8 out of 15 spots as a probationary firefighter," Haidt said. Earlier in the meeting, an AMR representative reported weekly and monthly call statistics. "Last week, there was 32 calls and 15 transports," the AMR representative said, adding October totals of 145 page-outs, 61 transports and four helicopter transports. The AMR speaker also said AMR was re‑accredited for three years after an inspection and that the state would perform an additional inspection on Tuesday.
