La Plata council proclaims Operation Greenlight and Shop Small Saturday; awards neighborhood $500 mini‑grants

Grant recipients described their events: Whispering Oaks reported an event with a DJ, vendors, a bouncy house, raffles with more than $600 in donated prizes and an estimated 250 attendees; other recipients thanked the council for support.
