The Mount Holly City Council unanimously approved a third-amended memorandum of understanding with the Mount Holly Historical Society on Sept. 22, formalizing the society as the ongoing custodian of the city's archives and enabling use of a new museum space at 414 East Central Avenue.
City staff member Miss Anders told the council the first MOU dated to 2011 and that earlier amendments addressed office space and an adjacent property. The third amendment updates the location of the society’s museum and archives to the newly upfitted space and states the city will relocate the archives at city expense on or before Oct. 30.
Councilmember Shoemaker moved to approve the amendment; Councilmember Craig seconded. The council voted unanimously to adopt the MOU.
