Rangeley Park Commission approves fall event permits, discusses pavilion RFP and donated shed

"We could probably use something like that," Speaker 3 said of the pavilion concept and added officials should factor electric conduit into the RFP so future events have power.
Speaker 3 also reported that a local bank arranged donation and delivery of a 10-by-20 shed for park supplies. "It was a little over $10,000 for the whole for the setup, delivery, everything," Speaker 3 said, describing the donation coordinated through a group the speaker identified as Friends of Rangely and a vendor identified as 207 Sheds.
Commissioners asked staff to collect written price estimates for the pavilion and options (roofed vs. open, back wall for stage use, finishing details) and to follow up with the donor and vendor about the shed. Several members suggested a site visit after the meeting so commissioners could see the donated shed and potential pavilion locations.
