Council sends East 215th Street Trail improvements to third reading after resident feedback

On Aug. 18 the Euclid City Council advanced Ordinance 074-25, which would authorize the planning and development director to advertise for bids and enter into a contract for construction of the East 215th Street Trail Improvements, to a third reading so staff can incorporate resident input and finalize schematics.
Administration told the council a follow-up meeting had been held to address design questions raised at the prior session. Councilmembers noted additional resident concerns about specific design elements and asked that full plans and cost details be available before final passage. Councilman Tolton suggested committee review if council preferred, but the body approved a motion (Wotilla, second by Diebeck) to send the ordinance to a third reading for further consideration.
Next steps: administration will prepare and distribute full schematics and responses to resident comments ahead of the next reading; no contract will be advertised or awarded until after further council consideration.
