Among the items passed were: an emergency contract for milling and paving East 233 (west of Chardon Road) with Karen Asphalt Paving Inc., not to exceed $57,802.50; an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation for resurfacing Chardon Road, with ODOT contributing $280,000 toward the project; updated rental rates for the Shore Cultural Center covering 2026–2028, including a built-in 3% annual increase; a citywide smoking and vaping prohibition on all city property enforced as a minor misdemeanor (maximum $150 fine); amendments to the 2025 appropriation ordinance to add multiple fund increases; and an update to service methods for notices of violation to allow regular mail or email.
