Ryan said adult enrichment declined slightly due to instructor turnover but described new offerings including an adaptive one-on-one swim program, monthly parents-night-out childcare, a tree-climbing activity coordinated with the city and a girls NFL flag program that drew participants from neighboring districts. She noted Oak Creek Rec operates largely as a self-sustaining fund (fund 80), receives an annual ~$175,000 contribution from the city for marketing and programming supports, and that planned uses of fund balance for 2025–26 include West Middle School field renovations and two replacement driver’s-ed vehicles.
Ryan listed facility availability and staffing as ongoing challenges but called the department fiscally healthy. The board treated the item as informational.
