Approved (voice votes unless otherwise noted): • Approve 12 permit requests from Brightspeed for bores and aerial fiber placements (Center, German and other townships). • Approve three permit requests from BSM Group (fiber work in North and West townships). • Approve NIPSCO request for a road closure/dig in Center Township. • Authorize the highway department to pursue an on-call agreement with RQAW for intersection improvements at South Michigan and Dewey Street (motion carried). • Approve out-of-state travel for sheriff staff to attend CentralSquare conference, March 15–18, 2026. • Send the sheriff’s radio purchase request to the county council with a favorable recommendation for funding consideration. • Approve authorization to place orders with Oliver Ford for four sheriff vehicles totaling $176,871. • Ratify the 2026 pretrial services grant award from the Indiana Office of Court Services in the amount of $147,158. • Approve the 2026 Purdue University extension contractual services agreement for $136,660. • Approve reimbursement to the Plymouth Fire Department (Chief Holland) of $50,000 from the public-safety grant for mobile radios. • Send the Weights & Measures inspector’s trailer purchase request (~$44,480 delivered quote) to county council with a favorable recommendation for funding review. • Approve minutes of the Oct. 20, 2025 meeting and routine AP claims and payroll as presented.
Several items were discussed without formal county appropriation at this session, including the judge’s application to the Indiana Supreme Court for ADR funding and the IDEM dissolution of the regional sewer district; commissioners directed staff and counsel to follow up where appropriate.
