Natalie, JAG Kansas program director for western Kansas, told the board that JAG Kansas will pilot a new micro‑credential model and implement it statewide in 2026, awarding digital badges for evidence of skills such as mock interviews, resumes, cover letters and job‑application mastery. "Once they get all of their micro credentials, they will earn that job and career ready credential," Natalie said.
Presenters described local program scale (smaller rosters to allow individualized follow up), partnerships with employers and funders (state general funds, DCF, grants and private donors such as Honeywell), and inclusion of alternative success programs that serve foster care and justice‑involved youth. Board members asked how local programs compare to statewide metrics; presenters said local programs individually met the JAG '6 of 6' success criteria for FY25.
