At its meeting the Northfield Selectboard approved routine licensing and financial matters alongside broader agenda items.
The board unanimously granted the liquor license renewals for Reno’s Pizza and IG Hospitality LLC (Norwich University) after confirming there were no reported violations and noting the state also investigates compliance. The chair called the question and, hearing no objections, announced the licenses were granted.
The Selectboard then moved through several sets of minutes (including Oct. 24 special and Oct. 28 regular meeting minutes) and approved them as amended; one abstention was recorded on an amended set. The board also approved warrant 0926 a–c (total listed in the meeting as $1,115,381.41) and received the weekly payroll through Oct. 26 ($96,602.48). Several members asked staff to include details about advertising and the finance director recruitment on future invoices; the manager said the department was using Indeed and other trade publications.
On audit administration, Speaker 5 moved to authorize the Selectboard chair to sign audit forms required of those charged with governance; the motion carried after discussion of required personnel-policy language and state training references. The board did not adopt new appropriations in these items; approvals were procedural for continuing town operations.
