Local Eagle Scout seeks board okay to build tech booth in BASH auditorium; district support informal

Steven Dudas presented an Eagle Scout project to construct a raised tech booth in the BASH professional auditorium to improve equipment organization and to remove an obstruction to a fire exit. Dudas said lumber and hardware would come from donations and support from a BASH business teacher (mister Ramsey), and that the project would not require district funding.

Board members and administrators asked logistical questions (timeline, seat removal, electrical receptacle locations) and Dudas said he expects to build the booth on a weekend so it will not interfere with school use and that existing receptacles would not need relocation. Administration asked that Dudas share plans with the director of facilities (mister Pramble) for coordination; the board gave an informal show‑of‑hands approval to proceed pending facilities review.
