City staff introduced an ordinance Nov. 10 to amend City Code Chapter 82, Article 1, Section 14 to restrict truck traffic on Sherwood Avenue from the city limits to its terminus and to remove Oak Lane from the restricted list. Mr. Hampt summarized the change and said no public hearing is required.

Councilmember Wood moved to introduce the ordinance; Councilmember Comby seconded. The mayor stated the ordinance will receive final consideration at the Nov. 24 council meeting. No vote on final adoption was taken Nov. 10.

The change was presented as a single addition and a single deletion to the existing truck-restriction provisions. City staff offered to elaborate further if council requested more detail. The council did not request a public hearing for the amendment at introduction.
