Planning staff reported routine winter cleanup at city parks and limited closures for maintenance at the Ken Windle rental area. Commissioners were told financial updates and a park‑specific impact‑fee review are pending until budget materials are available.
In motions recorded by voice vote, the commission tabled a tree initiative proposal until the chair returns and also tabled a request to rename Ernie Lake Park in honor of former commission chair Tony Magna. Planning staff said the city has an established naming policy and the proposal will require follow‑up and possible common council action. Both tabling motions carried.
Other business included a presentation on a proposed student tile replacement project for Kayla’s Playground and a staff request that commissioners review a draft natural‑resource impact compensation guide before the next meeting. The meeting recessed at 8:07 p.m.
